It has been shown to be cytotoxic and to induce apoptosis in cancer cells in vitro. 6-Aminoisoquinoline also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of prostaglandin synthesis and reduce intraocular pressure. The reaction solution was found to be effective at a dose of 0.1 mM with a melting point of 148°C.
