Descrição:2-Amino-6-methylpyrazine is a synthetic compound that has antiinflammatory properties. It is a competitive inhibitor of the enzyme cyclooxygenase, which is responsible for producing prostaglandins in the body. 2-Amino-6-methylpyrazine has been studied in various assays and shown to have antiinflammatory activity at doses of 5 mg/kg. The compound also inhibits carboxylic acid production by blocking the enzyme carbonic anhydrase. 2-Amino-6-methylpyrazine has not been tested on humans, but its safety profile is expected to be similar to other NSAIDs like indomethacin and ibuprofen.
