3-Aminomethylbenzoic acid is a peptidomimetic that inhibits the biosynthesis of nitric oxide, which is responsible for the development of cancer. It also inhibits the production of cytokines, which are immune system proteins that promote inflammation and regulate the immune response. 3-Aminomethylbenzoic acid has been shown to be effective in preventing or delaying colon carcinoma in humans by inhibiting the growth of drug-resistant cancer cells. This drug has potent inhibitory activity on cancer cells and therefore may be a potential therapeutic agent for treating cancer.
