2-Amino-5-chloro-3-fluoropyridine is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of pyridines. It has been shown to form coordination complexes with copper and form a dimer in solution. 2-Amino-5-chloro-3-fluoropyridine has been analyzed by single crystal x-ray diffraction, magnetic properties, and linear synthesis. The magnetic properties of 2-amino-5-chloro 3 fluoro pyridine have been studied using a SQUID magnetometer to find the Curie temperature, which was found to be around 260 degrees Celsius. Single crystal x-ray diffraction experiments have revealed that 2 amino 5 chloro 3 fluoro pyridine is monoclinic in shape and has a chain structure. This compound has also been synthesized by heating 2 aminofluorobenzene and 4 chlorophenylmagnesium bromide in ethanol.
