Descrição:Alismoxide is a drug that is used as a prescription for the treatment of arthritis. It is a trifluoroacetic acid ester of alisma plant extract and has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. Alismoxide has also been shown to inhibit the response of cells to cytokines, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of fatty acids.
Alismoxide can be extracted from various plants, including Alisma plant (fructus), Cimicifuga foetida (root powder), and Pueraria lobata (radix notoginseng). The drug can also be prepared by extracting the active ingredient from soybean extract, etoac extract, or pueraria lobata extract with dextran sulfate. Alismoxide is heat-sensitive and undergoes thermal expansion when heated.
