• Descrição: b-Acetoxyisovalerylalkannin is a natural product that has been isolated from the plant Acacia catechu. It is an inhibitor of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, which breaks down the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. This inhibition prevents acetylcholine from being broken down and may lead to improved memory and cognition. The compound was found to inhibit platelet aggregation in vitro and in vivo, suggesting that it could be used as a treatment for atherosclerosis, thrombosis and other cardiovascular diseases. b-Acetoxyisovalerylalkannin has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in mice when given at doses of 1,000 mg/kg body weight per day.
