3-(Dimethylamino)-1-(4-methylphenyl)propan-1-one hydrochloride is a triazole derivative that can be used as a fungicide. It has a crystal structure, which is stabilized by the presence of four methyl groups and dimethylamine. This drug is a quaternary salt with formaldehyde and benzene. It is an effective fungicide and has been shown to inhibit the growth of fungi in vitro and in vivo. 3-(Dimethylamino)-1-(4-methylphenyl)propan-1-one hydrochloride binds to the target enzyme (e.g., ribonucleotide reductase), inhibiting its activity and preventing RNA synthesis, leading to cell death.
