Descrição:2-Bromobenzothiophene (BBT) is a synthetic molecule that has potent inhibitory activity against several biological targets, including hydroxy group, enantiomer and enhancement. BBT has been shown to have anticancer properties in vitro and in vivo. This compound also exhibits anti-inflammatory activities, which may be mediated by the inhibition of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6, IL-8 and TNF-α. This heterocycle inhibits estradiol binding to estrogen receptors by competitive inhibition. The hydroxyl group on 2-bromobenzothiophene can form a covalent bond with thiols, which are abundant in proteins involved in inflammation. It also reacts with other reactive functional groups such as carbonyl groups or aromatic hydrocarbons.
