Informação sobre produto
- 3,4-Dimethylcyclohexanone
3,4-Dimethylcyclohexanone is an organic compound with the formula (CH)CO. It is a colorless liquid that is soluble in water and diethyl ether. This compound has been found to undergo hydrolysis in alkaline solutions to form 3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde (B), 3,4-dimethoxytoluene (C), and 1,2-dimethoxyethane (D). The stereoselectivity of these reactions has been shown to be dependent on the orientation of the substituents on the ring. Halides react with this molecule by forming aliphatic hydrocarbons and carbonyl compounds. The carbonyl group reacts with chloride to form a cycloalkanone product with hydrogen bonding.
