Informação sobre produto
- 2-Cyanomethylbenzoic acid methyl ester
- Methyl 2-(Cyanomethyl)Benzoate
Methyl 2-(Cyanomethyl)benzoate is an amido-mediated anti-cancer agent. It can be used in pharmaceutical preparations to treat cancer, as it has been shown to have activity against cancer cells. Methyl 2-(Cyanomethyl)benzoate has been shown to inhibit the growth of cultured human cancer cells by binding to their DNA and blocking the synthesis of proteins necessary for cell division. This drug also inhibits the production of branched-chain amino acids, which are necessary for protein synthesis.
Methyl 2-(Cyanomethyl)benzoate is a halogenated 6-membered nitro compound that inhibits the production of amines through the formation of stable nitroso compounds with amines. Methyl 2-(Cyanomethyl)benzoate is also a chlorinated compound, which may be due to its ability to form stable chloride complexes with nucleophilic agents such as amines.
