Terameprocol is an analog of ghrelin, a hormone that regulates appetite and energy balance. It is a potent inhibitor of tumor kinase activity and has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. Terameprocol is excreted in the urine and is not metabolized by human enzymes. This inhibitor can be used as an anticancer agent due to its ability to induce apoptosis in cancer cells. Terameprocol also inhibits the activity of kinases involved in cell proliferation, making it a promising candidate for cancer therapy. The cellulose-based formulation of terameprocol allows for targeted delivery to cancer cells while minimizing toxicity to healthy tissues.
