2-[[2-[[2-(Bis(Carboxymethyl)Amino)-5-Fluoro-4-Methylphenoxy]Methyl]Quinolin-8-Yl]-(Carboxymethyl)Amino]Acetic Acid (BCMA) is a calcium chelator that acts by binding to the mineral and preventing the accumulation of calcium in the cells. It has been shown to have beneficial effects on cardiac hypertrophy, insulin resistance, and hypertension. BCMA is also known as bis(carboxymethyl)aminobenzene (BCMAB). BCMAB has been studied for its ability to lower blood pressure and increase blood flow through the arteries. Clinical studies have shown that BCMAB reduces intracellular calcium concentration and exerts antihypertensive effects in humans.
