Informação sobre produto
5-Bromo-3-iodopyridin-2(1H)-one is a basic organic chemical that is used to synthesize other compounds. It can be produced by the palladium-catalyzed reaction of methanol and carbon monoxide in the presence of a base such as sodium ethoxide. The cyclization of 5-bromo-3-iodopyridin-2(1H)-one with phenylacetylene leads to the formation of 2,5-dibromopyridine. Carbonylative coupling with acetaldehyde also yields 2,5-dibromopyridine from 5-bromo-3-(4,4,5,5,-tetramethyl-[1,3,2]dioxaborolan)pyridinium chloride and acetaldehyde.
