Descrição:
Bis(4-methoxybenzyl)amine is a chlorinating agent that is used in the synthesis of benzoxazoles. It can be used to activate anilines and amines, and has been shown to have synergistic effects with other chlorinating agents. Bis(4-methoxybenzyl)amine is typically prepared by the reaction of 4-methoxybenzaldehyde with ammonia, followed by addition of chlorine gas. The yields obtained depend on the technique used for preparation.
