Informação sobre produto
- 5-Bromo-2-napthoic acid
5-Bromo-2-naphthoic acid is a reactive molecule that has been used in the synthesis of condensation products. It has also been used as a reagent for the synthesis of grignard reagents. 5-Bromo-2-naphthoic acid is formed by the reaction of naphthalene with butyllithium, which produces a vinylic bromide. The compound reacts with lithium chloride to produce lithium bromide and carbon dioxide gas. This reaction can be catalysed by halogens such as chlorine or iodine.
