Descrição:3-Butenyltrimethylsilane is an organosilicon compound that is used as a catalyst in the production of olefins. It can be synthesized by the nature or transfer process and is used to make copolymers with styrene, cycloalkenes, and other olefins. 3-Butenyltrimethylsilane may also be used as a reagent for the synthesis of carbenes and alkenes. This chemical has been shown to have catalytic activity for the polymerization of cyclopentadiene, diacetylene, and acetylene. 3-Butenyltrimethylsilane also has a transition temperature of -14°C.
