4-tert-Butyl-1-chloro-2-nitrobenzene is an aromatic compound that is used in the production of various chemicals. It can be obtained by catalytic hydrodechlorination of 1,2-dichlorobenzene with ammonia and methanol as a catalyst. 4-tert-Butyl-1-chloro-2-nitrobenzene has been shown to have high catalytic activity and is resistant to chlorinated solvents. The ammonium acetate solution is a good solvent for this compound due to its high solubility in water. 4TBCN's reaction parameters are dependent on the amount of substrate and the temperature of the reaction.
