Pi3kδ is a protein that plays an important role in the regulation of cell growth. 1-Boc-oxopiperzine, a novel inhibitor of pi3kδ, has been shown to inhibit cancer cell proliferation and induce apoptosis by inhibiting the production of purines. This drug also inhibits the metabolic enzyme in wild-type mice, which leads to a reduced level of purines. The pharmacodynamics of 1-Boc-oxopiperzine was studied using immunoassays and biochemical assays on deficient mice. The results showed that this drug could inhibit tumor growth and had anti-tuberculosis activity in mice. Further research into the mechanism of action revealed that 1-Boc-oxopiperzine inhibits the production of enzymes involved in purine metabolism, such as pyridone oxidoreductase and imidazole synthase.
