Descrição:
Benzofuran-7-carboxylic acid is a growth factor that stimulates the release of human growth hormone. It also has been shown to stimulate the release of tryptophan and 5-hydroxytryptamine in humans. Benzofuran-7-carboxylic acid binds to receptors on gland cells, leading to increased production of peptide hormones such as ACTH. This compound can be used diagnostically for detecting the levels of camp in humans or other animals, or as a diagnostic agent for identifying human pathogens.
