Bis(2-methylpropyl)-naphthalenesulfonicacid sodium salt (1:1) is a water-soluble solid that has been shown to be an effective absorption enhancer for the removal of hydrochloric acid from wastewaters. This compound also synergizes with other chemicals, such as sodium carbonate, which can remove alkyl alkyls and unsaturated alkyls. In addition, this chemical can be used to produce nitro groups in the presence of sodium citrate and potassium nitrate. Bis(2-methylpropyl)-naphthalenesulfonicacid sodium salt (1:1) also has the ability to form crystalline polymorphs with amides and is used in monoclonal antibody production.
