2-(4-Bromophenyl)oxirane is a reactive compound that is used in the Friedel-Crafts reaction to form epoxides. This chemical has been shown to react with bacterial DNA, leading to mutations and drug resistance. 2-(4-Bromophenyl)oxirane has also been shown to be reactive with human liver and other animal tissues, as well as the cell wall of the typhimurium strain. 2-(4-Bromophenyl)oxirane can be considered a constant because it does not cause any significant changes in kinetic rates when combined with various drugs or metabolites.
