1-Benzyl-3-(methoxycarbonyl)-4-piperidone is an anticancer agent that belongs to the class of structure-based drug analogs. It is a dopamine receptor ligand analog that has been synthesized in vivo and tested for its anticancer activity in cancer cells. The 1-benzyl-3-(methoxycarbonyl)-4-piperidone binds to the kinase domain of d4 receptors, which are highly expressed in cancer cells. This compound selectively inhibits the growth of L1210 cells, which have a high expression of these receptors.
