Bis-(4-nitrophenyl)phenylamine is a formaldehyde cross-linked polymer that produces a triphenylamine monomer. The monomer is substituted with an arylamine, which is then reacted with another triphenylamine to produce a dimer. The resulting product has electron transfer efficiency and copper transfer efficiency. Bis-(4-nitrophenyl)phenylamine has been found to be perchlorate-resistant and can be used for the production of ferrocene.
