Adamantane is a hydrocarbon with the chemical formula C10H16. It is a colorless, crystalline solid at room temperature and pressure. They are also used in the manufacture of semiconductors and other electronic devices. Adamantanes have been studied for use as drugs because they can be easily modified to have desirable properties such as solubility in water or fat solubility.
