Descrição:Buthiazide is a diuretic drug that is used to treat high blood pressure. It is also used to treat bowel disease and cardiac problems such as congestive heart failure. Buthiazide can be used in tissue culture to control the effects of cardiac cells on cardiac function. The drug has been shown to reduce the expression of proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) in human serum. Buthiazide is also effective in reducing inflammation in the digestive system, by inhibiting the production of fatty acid and protein genes that are involved in inflammatory bowel disease.
