1,1-Bis[4-[N,N'-di(p-tolyl)amino]phenyl]cyclohexane is a molecule that has been synthesized from urea nitrogen and phenyl groups. It has been shown to be an efficient method for fabricating multi-walled carbon nanotubes. The optical properties of 1,1-Bis[4-[N,N'-di(p-tolyl)amino]phenyl]cyclohexane have been studied extensively in the frequency shift region. The light emission from this molecule may be due to the dipole moment created by the sulfonic acid groups and the phenyl groups. This molecule has also been shown to have toxicological properties in tissue culture studies.
