(R)-tert-Butyl (1-aminopropan-2-yl)carbamate is an inhibitor of protein kinase that is used in the treatment of several metabolic disorders. This drug binds to the enzyme b-raf and inhibits its activity, which prevents cell death caused by oxidative stress. (R)-tert-Butyl (1-aminopropan-2-yl)carbamate also inhibits cancer cells by preventing their growth and spreading. The drug is not active against bacteria or fungi and has no direct effect on cell growth or proliferation.
