Bis(acetonitrile)dichloropalladium(II) is a chemical species that contains nitrogen atoms. It is an inorganic chemical with the formula PCy2Cl2. Bis(acetonitrile)dichloropalladium(II) is prepared by the reaction of trifluoroacetic acid with chloroform and palladium metal, which forms a coordination complex. The structure of this compound was determined using x-ray crystal structures, and it has been shown to have intermolecular hydrogen bonding. Bis(acetonitrile)dichloropalladium(II) reacts with quinoline derivatives to form a coordination complex, which undergoes activation and then reacts with the reaction solution to produce product.
