N,N'-Bis(salicylidene)-1,3-propanediamine (BSP) is a molecule that is formed by the light-induced reaction of hydrochloric acid with dinucleotide phosphate. It has been shown to bind to cannabinoid receptors and have diagnostic potential for cannabis use. BSP has also been shown to be chemically stable and can act as a redox agent in polycarboxylic acids. The binding affinity of BSP to cannabinoid receptors may be due to its ability to form trimers and tetramers with nitrogen atoms.
