2,2-Bis[4-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl]hexafluoropropane is a chemical used to make polymers. It is insoluble in water, has a high viscosity, and can be used in innovative formulations. 2,2-Bis[4-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl]hexafluoropropane reacts with phosphites to form polymers that are activated by microwaves or irradiation. The polymerization process can be accelerated by using diacids as catalysts. The activation energies and the temperatures of the polymerization process vary depending on the type of diacid used.
