The molecule also has the ability to inhibit corrosion of metals by chloride ions and naphthalene. 2-Bromobenzene-1,3-dialdehyde is a red fluorescent compound with a molecular weight of 186.2 g/mol and contains both aldehyde groups and ether groups.
