4-Bromo-2-ethylaniline (4BEA) is a growth factor that binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor and activates tyrosine kinase activity. 4BEA has been shown to cause phosphorylation of epidermal growth factor receptor, which leads to the activation of the EGFR signal transduction pathway. 4BEA also has cytotoxic effects on cells in culture, including an effect on epidermoid carcinoma cells in culture. This drug also has an effect on tyrosine kinase domain, which is important for protein synthesis, cell proliferation, and differentiation.
