1-Benzyl-1H-indazole-3-carbonic acid (1BZICA) is a new cannabinoid receptor agonist that has been shown to have an affinity for the CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors in the nanomolar range. 1BZICA is hydrophobic and binds to these receptors with high affinity and selectivity, which makes it a potential therapeutic candidate for the treatment of pain, inflammation, and other conditions. The drug has been shown to be effective in animal assays at doses as low as 10 mg/kg. 1BZICA has also been shown to be a potent inhibitor of endocannabinoid deactivation by inhibiting carboxylesterase activity. This may lead to enhanced therapeutic effects for disorders such as chronic pain or inflammation.
