Descrição:3-Bromo-4-chlorophenol (3BCP) is a halogenated phenolic compound that is used as a preservative in the food industry. It is also used in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries for polymerization reactions and to produce other chemicals such as chlorinated hydrocarbons. 3BCP has been shown to inhibit the growth of organisms by binding to their receptors, which can be deformed and thus not function properly.
