• Descrição: 4'-Bromo-3'-nitropropiophenone (4BNPP) is a nitrophenol that has been shown to inhibit DNA repair. 4BNPP inhibits the synthesis of DNA by inhibiting the activity of topoisomerase II, which is an enzyme involved in the replication and repair of DNA. In addition, 4BNPP has been shown to have radiosensitizing properties and is used as a treatment for cancer. 4BNPP binds to human astrocytes and tissues, causing damage that may lead to cancerous cells. This drug also causes tumor regression in mice with prostate cancer cells and enhances radiation therapy for glioma and colorectal carcinoma cells.
