3,7-Bis[3-(Trifluoromethyl)Phenyl]-1,5,3,7-Dioxadiazocane is an isomer of the dioxadiazocine family. It is a metabolite of 3,7-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenol that has been shown to inhibit cellular proliferation in animals and humans. The compound also has been shown to have oral toxicity and renal toxicity. 3,7-Bis[3-(Trifluoromethyl)Phenyl]-1,5,3,7-Dioxadiazocane can be found in the blood cells of animals and humans as well as in the thymus and parenchymal tissues. The biosynthesis of this compound involves a phenyl ring with two carbons that are attached to a carbonyl group. This compound has also been shown to cause depression when administered orally at high doses
