5,6-Bis[(4-Fluorophenyl)Amino]-1H-Isoindole-1,3(2H)-Dione is a growth factor that has been shown to stimulate the proliferation of leukemia cells in culture. It also stimulates epidermal growth and has been shown to be expressed in epidermal keratinocytes and endothelial cells. The compound has been shown to bind to epidermal growth factor receptors and insulin-like growth factor receptors. 5,6-Bis[(4-Fluorophenyl)Amino]-1H-Isoindole-1,3(2H)-Dione has the ability to stimulate cell proliferation at neutral pH levels. This may be due to its ability to increase intracellular calcium levels by inhibiting phosphodiesterase activity or by increasing the production of intracellular cyclic AMP.
