It has been shown to inhibit the activity of sodium, potassium, and calcium channels. Di-tert-butyl 5,5'-methylenebis(4-(3-methoxy-3-oxopropyl)-3-methyl-1H--pyrrole--2--carboxylate) is a precursor for the synthesis of peptides and antibodies.
