2-Chloro-5-nitropyridine is a chemical compound with the molecular formula CHClNO. It is a white solid that is soluble in water and has a melting point of 132.2 °C. 2-Chloro-5-nitropyridine is used for the synthesis of diphenyl ethers, which are anticancer agents that have been shown to have both nucleophilic and acylation reactions in their mechanism
