N-[4-[[3-Chloro-4-[(3-fluorophenyl)methoxy]phenyl]amino]-6-quinazolinyl]-2-propenamide 4-methylbenzenesulfonate (NQNO) is a growth factor that has been shown to stimulate the proliferation of cells in culture. It was originally identified as a compound that binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor and elicits a response through the mitogen activated protein kinase pathway. NQNO has been shown to be effective against cancer cells, but not against normal cells, during in vitro studies. This drug also has an effect on the activation of TGFβ1/SMAD2/3 signaling pathways and can inhibit tumor growth.
