2-Cyclohexylacetohydrazide is a bicyclic heterocycle that has been shown to have analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic properties. It works by blocking the activity of the cannabinoid receptors in the body, which are responsible for pain sensation. The drug has also been shown to have an effect on the bladder and respiratory system. 2-Cyclohexylacetohydrazide is an inhibitor of methionine aminopeptidase and stereoisomers, which are enzymes that break down proteins in cells. This inhibition leads to decreased protein synthesis and cell death. 2-Cyclohexylacetohydrazide also reduces levels of prostaglandins by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, which are responsible for synthesizing these compounds from arachidonic acid.
