3-Chloro-N-1,3-thiazol-2-ylpropanamide is a chemical compound belonging to the group of thiazole carboxamides. It has been synthesized and tested for biological activity against parasites such as Leishmania and Plasmodium. 3CATPA has been shown to be effective in inhibiting the growth of these parasites because it targets the active site of their enzyme glutathione reductase. 3CATPA also binds to target sites on the surface of cells, which may inhibit energy production by disrupting electron transport chain complexes. The elemental analysis shows that compounds such as carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur and chlorine are present in this chemical structure.
