1-[4-(Chloromethyl)phenyl]-1H-pyrazole is a reactive, monoxide compound that can be used as a modulator. It binds to the muscarinic m1 receptor and modulates its activity. This compound also has the ability to carbonylate other molecules, which may lead to their degradation. 1-[4-(Chloromethyl)phenyl]-1H-pyrazole has been shown to reduce 1-bromo-2-iodobenzene in reductive amination with benzyne to form allylbenzene. It also can form an intramolecular complex with the enzyme allosteric modulator.
