3-Cyclopenten-1-one is a molecule that is an organic compound that contains a cyclic ring of five carbon atoms. Cyclopentenones are formed by the reaction of acetylene with ethylene oxide and may be obtained by the reaction of formaldehyde with acetaldehyde.
