Cobalt(II) carbonate anhydrous is a chemical compound with the chemical formula CoCO3. Cobalt(II) carbonate anhydrous is a hydroxide of cobalt that is used in the manufacture of other cobalt compounds. It has been shown to be a catalyst for many reactions, such as the electrochemical oxidation of carbon dioxide to form carbon monoxide and water. In addition, it has been used as an electrode material in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. This compound can be found in either the bound or free form.
