Descrição:Cyclohexanemethylamine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that belongs to the class of amines. This drug has been shown to inhibit the cyclooxygenase activity of the enzyme prostaglandin synthase, which is responsible for converting arachidonic acid into prostaglandins. Cyclohexanemethylamine also has antioxidant properties and has been shown to inhibit lipid peroxidation. Cyclohexanemethylamine has been shown to have both anticancer and antiviral effects in cell culture experiments and in animal studies. It inhibits cell proliferation in muscle cells and suppresses muscle cell proliferation induced by metal carbonyls or phorbol esters. Cyclohexanemethylamine also inhibits cancer-related protein synthesis, such as protein kinase C and DNA polymerases, while it enhances the synthesis of heat shock proteins (HSPs).
