Informação sobre produto
- 4-Chloro-6-(methylsulfanyl)pyrimidine
- Pyrimidine, 4-chloro-6-(methylthio)-
4-Chloro-6-methylthiopyrimidine is a pyrimidine derivative that has efficient chlorination properties. It is produced by the reaction of sulfuryl chloride and methylsulfanyl chloride with 4-chloro-6-methylpyrimidine. The transformation of the pyrimidine ring to the more reactive sulfonyl chloride is one of the most important steps in this process. This compound has been used as a precursor for other compounds such as 5,6,7,8-tetrahydroquinoxaline and 6,7-dihydroquinolinium perchlorate.
