Descrição:Caudatin is a natural compound that has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity and is a potent inhibitor of the mitochondrial apoptosis pathway. It has been found to be effective against antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria and cancer tissues. The biological mechanism of caudatin is still unclear, but it has been observed to inhibit the Bcl-2 protein, which is an important anti-apoptotic protein in cells. Caudatin may also inhibit the mitochondrial membrane potential and activate caspases by increasing the levels of reactive oxygen species.
