4-Chloro-2-fluoro-3-methoxyphenylboronic acid is a chemical substance with the molecular formula CHClFO. It is used in organic chemistry for the extraction of carboxylates, deacetylation, and deacetylating. 4-Chloro-2-fluoro-3-methoxyphenylboronic acid can be synthesized by the reaction of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol with an excess of boron trioxide. The compound can also be prepared by reacting methoxybenzene with boron trifluoride etherate in methyl isobutyl ketone as solvent. 4CFPB has a melting point of 213°C, boiling point of 223°C, density of 1.8 g/cm³ at 20°C, and refractive index nD20 = 1.5398 at 20°C.
