4-(6-Chloropyridazin-3-yl)benzoic acid is a potential inhibitor of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. This study shows that the interactions with 4-(6-chloropyridazin-3-yl)benzoic acid in the active site are mainly with nitrogen atoms and that its inhibitory efficiency is related to its adsorption on the enzyme surface. The inhibition efficiency of 4-(6-chloropyridazin-3-yl)benzoic acid was found to be higher than that of some other inhibitors, such as pyridazine, and can be used for future drug design.
